United States: gross from net
Enter the net pay you want to take home over the year. The calculator searches for the gross salary that produces it, using the same rules as the take-home workbench. $60,000.00 net a year needs $72,734.17 gross (single filer in Texas, standard deduction, no pre-tax deductions), which costs the employer $78,340.34 a year.
This state's tax module is in build. Federal income tax and FICA are exact; the state lines are not yet included.

How it works
Net pay rises with gross pay, but more slowly. So the calculator tries gross amounts until the result matches the net you entered to the cent, with every option in the form. Where net pay jumps at a threshold, it shows the smallest gross that reaches your target.
